PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (“BUMI”) and its business unit, PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) were both conferred Gold Awards at the Asia Sustainability Reporting (ASR) Rating 2018 from Indonesia’s National Center For Sustainability Reporting (NCSR) and Institute of Certified Sustainability Practitioners (ICSP) in Lampung, Saturday (8 Dec ’18). The award was presented by the Chairman of National Center for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR), Bapak Ali Darwin.
This year’s Gold Rank Award is a significant jump in the acknowledgment of BUMI sustainability Report performance, wherein in 2017 BUMI achieved Commendation for First Year SRA (Sustainability Reporting Award) Entry. Meanwhile, BUMI’s business unit, KPC received Commendation for Early Adoption of GRI Standards. This award was formerly known as Indonesia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ISRA).
“These 2 prestigious ASR Gold Rank Awards is proof that BUMI applies GRI reporting standards in a transparent manner across the Group”, said President Director of PT Bumi Resources Tbk, concurrently President Director of PT Kaltim Prima Coal, Saptari Hoedaja. He added that, “Such successes would motivate BUMI to achieve even higher standards for Sustainability Reporting.”
In Asia Sustainability Reporting (ASR) Rating 2018, BUMI competed with other 55 firms and organizations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Bangladesh to obtain the best score for the application of GRI standards in sustainability reporting.
