BUMI is Gold Champion - Bisnis Indonesia CSR Award 2023

PT Bumi Resources Tbk., (“BUMI” or “The Company”) successfully earned the prestigious award in the economic category Gold Champion in the 2023 Bisnis Indonesia Corporate Social Responsibility Award (BISRA) (15/8) in Jakarta. BISRA is an annual CSR award event from Bisnis Indonesia and is supported by the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) with the theme CSR Towards Climate Change Mitigation.

In BISRA 2023, awards were given to 30 companies out of 80 participating companies with reference to five categories which included economic, environmental, social, volunteerism and disaster mitigation elements. Each category consists of three classes representing the company's income level and business scale, namely platinum, gold, and silver. The judging process focuses on the programs implemented by each company, consisting of sustainable and impactful programs to the local communities, all through a series of assessments in the form of document studies, Social Return on Investment (SROI) assessments and judging presentations from companies’ representatives. BISRA assesses the CSR programs carried out by companies in the period from 2021 to 2022.

President Director of PT Bumi Resources Tbk., Adika Nuraga Bakrie, stated, " The company expresses its gratitude for the 2023 BISRA award. BUMI's commitment in each CSR program is the Core Competence of the Company's business which has been embedded into BUMI and its business units.

He added that, "CSR for the Company is not just a program, but how BUMI is able to carry out the best CSR practices, contribute to creating independence in society which undoubtedly contributes directly to the realization of SDGs and aspects of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) as stated in Law no. 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies.”
