 Fajar Bumi Sakti (FBS) manages a total concession area of 8,250.5 hectares with total coal reserves of 335 million tonnes of 4,000-6,150 kcal (GAR) coal. Currently there are two mining areas: Loa Ulung (open pit) and Tabang, both in East Kalimantan.

 

FBS’s operational open pit mine at Loa Ulung sits on an area of 984.5 hectares, while the other project in Tabang acquired by two independent concessions under the name of PT Guruh Putra Bersama and PT Ade Putra Tanrajeng has a total area of 7,266 hectares. Tabang Project area contains 321 million tons of minable reserves of 4,000 kcal (GAR) coal.

 

Infrastructure preparation is approacing to the final stages and full production is expected to commence in second quarter of 2014. Forward selling agreements have also been established with several buyers. PT Guruh Putra Bersama has started the production since July 2013, with total production of 100,000 tons. With the commencement of Tabang Project by second quarter of 2014, FBS will create more added value to the Company.
